Evenly helps Shopify merchants create and maintain translations through Shopify's native translation system. This notice describes the information processed when you use the app or contact support.
Information we process
- Shop information, including your shop domain, selected languages, settings, subscription records and processing usage totals.
- Shopify authentication and app session information needed to connect your shop and authenticate access. This can include user identifiers, names and email addresses supplied by Shopify.
- Merchant content made available for translation, such as product and collection text, together with glossary entries, brand voice settings and examples, cached translations and processing job history.
- Technical request and error logs generated while the service operates.
- Your email address, message and any information you include when you contact support.
Evenly does not request access to Shopify customer or order records and does not maintain a database of buyers. Merchant content and support messages may themselves contain personal information. Only include information you are authorised to provide for these purposes.
How information is used
We use this information to connect to your Shopify store, generate and save translations, apply your language and terminology settings, manage translation jobs, track subscriptions and processing allowances, troubleshoot the service and respond to support or privacy requests.
No separate Evenly account is required. You access the app through Shopify. Shopify handles the app subscription and billing process.
Services that receive information
Anthropic receives content being translated and relevant context, including brand voice instructions and examples, to generate translations. Do not include personal information in translation content or voice examples unless it is needed and you are authorised to do so.
Railway hosts Evenly's application and PostgreSQL database in its US East region. Information may therefore be processed outside your country.
Shopify provides the store, authentication and billing services. Translations saved through Shopify are also held in your Shopify store. These providers have their own terms and privacy information governing their services.
Retention and deletion
While the app is installed, Evenly keeps shop settings, translation cache, usage records and job history to operate the service and maintain translations.
On receipt of Shopify's authenticated uninstall notification, Evenly disables the shop's installation, marks its queued and active processing jobs as cancelled, and removes stored app sessions and subscription records. The shop record, glossary, translation cache and job history remain in the application database until Shopify sends its shop deletion request.
When Evenly receives and authenticates that shop deletion request, it deletes the shop record and any remaining sessions and subscription records. Deleting the shop record also removes its associated glossary, translation cache and job logs from the application database.
This describes deletion from the live application database. Backups, technical request logs and support correspondence are separate records; this process does not establish their immediate erasure. Contact us with a request concerning those records. Translations already saved in your Shopify store are managed through Shopify.
Evenly authenticates Shopify's customer privacy requests. Because it does not store buyer records, it has no buyer records to export or delete in response to those requests. Personal information in those customer privacy notification payloads is not retained or logged.

Your rights depend on the laws that apply to you. Where applicable, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, request data portability, or complain to your local data protection authority.
